Our Story
Built on Experience, Driven by Expertise
Safety Check was established by Declan O'Rourke, a safety professional qualified from University College Dublin (UCD) with a passion for making Irish construction sites safer. Over the past 24 years, we have grown into one of Ireland's most trusted names in construction safety.
Declan is qualified in Safety Health & Welfare at Work from University College Dublin (UCD), is a registered member of IOSH, and is a member of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). He has over 24 years of hands-on experience in construction safety, working on projects ranging from large-scale residential developments to complex commercial and pharmaceutical builds.
Our experience extends well beyond Ireland. We have supported clients operating across the UK, Austria, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands — giving us a perspective on safety management that is genuinely European in scope. That international exposure informs everything we do on Irish construction sites today.
Today, Safety Check is the trusted safety partner for some of Ireland's leading contractors and developers. We are based in Co. Wicklow and serve construction projects across Leinster and all of Ireland.
