Written Safety Statements prepared for Irish employers under Section 20 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005

A legally required written programme under Section 20 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 — specific to your organisation and the hazards associated with your work activities.

Under Section 20 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, every employer in Ireland is required to produce a written Safety Statement — a programme that sets out how the safety and health of employees and others at the workplace will be secured and managed. The Safety Statement must be based on the hazard identification and Risk Assessment carried out under Section 19 of the Act. It is a company-level document, specific to your organisation and its work activities; a generic Safety Statement does not satisfy the requirements of the Act.
