Safety Training
Legally required safety training delivered on-site across Leinster
About This Service
Under Section 10 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, every employer has a duty to provide employees with adequate instruction, training, and supervision necessary to ensure their safety and health at work. For construction employers, this obligation is reinforced by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013, which require workers to hold a Safe Pass card and a Construction Skills card where applicable. Safety Check delivers the following training courses on-site across Leinster: **Manual Handling Training** Required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, Chapter 4 of Part 2 (Manual Handling of Loads). Employers must ensure that workers who carry out manual handling tasks receive adequate training in safe manual handling techniques. Our course covers the legal requirements, risk factors, correct techniques, and practical exercises. **Abrasive Wheel Training** Required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, which prohibit the mounting of abrasive wheels by any person who has not been trained and instructed in the correct and safe procedures. Our course covers wheel selection, inspection, storage, mounting, and safe use. **Work at Height Training** Required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, Part 4 (Work at Height). Employers must ensure that workers who carry out work at height are competent to do so. Our course covers the hierarchy of controls, selection and inspection of access equipment, and safe working procedures. **Induction Training** Required under the Construction Regulations 2013 — contractors must provide workers with site-specific induction before they commence work. Our induction training covers site rules, emergency procedures, hazard identification, and the Safety and Health Plan requirements specific to the project. **Fire Warden Training** Required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, Part 7 (Fire Detection and Fire Fighting). Employers must designate and train a sufficient number of workers to implement fire prevention measures and to take action in the event of a fire. Our course covers fire prevention, fire extinguisher types and use, evacuation procedures, and the role of the fire warden. All courses are delivered on-site at your location across Leinster by experienced safety professionals, and certificates of completion are provided to each participant.

Here's what construction professionals across Leinster say about working with Safety Check.
"Declan has been our retained safety consultant on three major residential developments in South Dublin over the past four years. His site inspection reports are thorough, practical, and always delivered on time. He flags issues before they become problems — that's exactly what we need."
"We brought Safety Check in after an HSA inspection flagged several non-conformances on our commercial fit-out project in Wicklow. Declan turned around a full corrective action plan within 48 hours and had us back on track within the week. Outstanding response time."
